How To Build Trust & Close The Deal
Whether you're trying to close a major deal, win over senior stakeholders, or build long-term client relationships, it always starts with one thing: trust.
Trust isn’t built through flashy decks or pushy pitches. It’s built by listening, asking the right questions, and showing that you care about what matters to them.
Here’s how to do that in three steps:
1. Start with genuine interest
Remember that your job isn’t to sell. It’s to help your client make the best decision for them. This mindset shift changes everything. When people feel you’re truly invested in their success, they stop putting up walls.
2. Ask better context questions
Before you offer a solution, understand the full story.
Try these questions:
“What problems are you hoping to solve with this product or service?”
“Why is this important to you?”
“What have you tried before that didn’t work?”
“If this were to be solved, what would that mean for you or your business?”
These questions show you’re paying attention, and often, they help your client clarify their own thinking too.
3. Anticipate objections before they arise
Once you’ve gathered enough context, use their own insights to address doubts:
“This would be a big investment of time and resources. I’m sure you’ve tried XYZ and maybe it didn’t work out. What motivates you to try again?”
Let them talk through their hesitations. You’re not trying to override their concerns, you’re helping them find their own answers.
NEW! Deep Human Men’s Group: A Space for Men to Reconnect, Reflect and Grow
Many men carry silent burdens of stress, overwhelm, inner tension, or a sense of disconnection. These battles, when fought alone, are the hardest ones of all. Greg started this group to create a safe, confidential space for men to gather, speak honestly, build inner strength, and talk about what really matters.
Through guided conversations, reflective exercises, and real connection, this group provides not just tools for inner growth, but a brotherhood that reminds you that you're not alone, and you don't have to figure it all out by yourself.
If you (or someone you know) is looking for that space to breathe, reflect, and grow, learn more about the Deep Human Men’s Group here!
FAQ: What is the difference between Deep Human Confidence & Deep Human Influence?
The content and context are both different. Deep Human Confidence is a foundational course in speaking up and developing your authentic voice for people of all levels. We have participants from all walks of life here.
Deep Human Influence is specifically for professionals in the corporate world who need to learn how to level up on their influence and gravitas so they can navigate difficult stakeholders, difficult conversations, corporate politics, etc. Participants tend to be leaders, founders, from the family business, and professionals who work with senior stakeholders or overseas stakeholders in MNCs.
Confidence helps you show up. Influence helps you move the room. And both are skills you can learn.
Much love
Crystal
