Doing Life With Wholeheartedness

Dear Community

Salü from Switzerland!

January is almost over. How has your first month of the year been?

This week, I released a new podcast episode where I spilled the beans on all our secret mind hacks for cultivating positivity and success in 2024. Alongside Greg’s live confession about his latest traffic ticket, we delved into topics such as the significance of ‘off-gassing’, the gratitude and enjoyment behind mindful spending, the influence of our environment on success, time-blocking, and a whole lot more.

Greg and I also conducted our first Deep Human Leadership retreat for 2024 last week and it was a real honour to hold space for everyone. I was so grateful for the participants’ authenticity and energy, and for the genuine bonds made. The emotions shared went deep real fast because of the common challenges many faced, and because everyone was courageous enough to be vulnerable. My heart was SO FULL at the end of the retreat, and I felt so much pride for everyone. We can’t wait to see all the participants again during our integration sessions!

We have also decided to offer a Deep Human Leadership – Mastery Edition in March. This is the exact same format we offer to thousands of leaders from MNCs. It will have twice as much face-to-face time as our normal hybrid version, more in-depth hands-on coaching and role play, and a guided capstone project for participants to apply skills taught back in their lives.

We didn’t offer this version initially because we thought the public would prefer a shorter version, but the unanimous feedback after all our programmes has been – please make them longer, we want more!

We will also be running a virtual version of our Deep Human Leadership retreat in February, and we hope this version will be helpful, especially for those overseas.

Here’s more of what we have coming up.

In response to numerous requests, particularly following the announcement of the Mastery Edition, we are rolling out a Deep Human Alumni discount for anyone who has attended at minimum one of our half day workshops (virtual or face-to-face)! Just fill in this form and the team will email you the discount code.

On another note, while Batch 3 of our I Am Well journals took only 5 minutes to be sold out, I have been putting in lots of time and energy to set up the I Am Well community page. We are going to fill it with a treasure trove of resources, from expert tips on mindfulness to workshops and ideas that will nourish the mind and soul. I promise you the wait will be worth it, and I’ll announce more details about it soon.

Many ask me on my AMAs every week how I find the energy to do so much. And my answer comes from this quote by David Steindl-Rast.

“The antidote to exhaustion may not be rest. It may be wholeheartedness. You are so exhausted because all of the things you are doing are just busyness. There’s a central core of wholeheartedness totally missing from what you’re doing.”

This quote resonates with me so deeply that I ensured its inclusion in the I Am Well journal. If you find yourself fatigued by busyness, perhaps it is time to reflect on whether there is still a sense of wholeheartedness in what you’re doing. If there isn’t any wholeheartedness, ask yourself what you can do to get it back, or seek it. Take time to zoom out and listen to your highest self and think if what you are doing is really in your best interest. Check out this podcast episode where Greg and I discussed the GROW model and ways to break out of a rut — it might be just what you need.

The alps beckon for now, but may you all have the strength and clarity to find wholeheartedness and meaning in your everyday. I am always here for you!

Much love,

Crystal
