Deep Human Milestones & Mindset Shifts To Boost Social Media Presence

This is a week of milestones for all of us at Deep Human. We now have a new home and office space in the heart of Orchard Road, and this means we can hold more regular events at better prices to all in the community! We have just launched two new training programmes — Deep Human Confidence, which will happen on 28 June, and Deep Human Leadership, which will be on 1 & 2 August.

This new space isn't just a venue; it will be a place where we can come together, grow, and transform. It's where we'll go deep into learning, sharing experiences, and supporting each other on our journeys. I can’t wait to experience the energy, connections, and breakthroughs that will happen here.

Another milestone was reaching 120,000 followers on TikTok. Did you know I had to be persuaded to start posting on social media? And now, with more than 250,000 people in my community, I have to say it has been an incredible journey. I’m so grateful to everyone who has supported me, on all the platforms I am on. In celebration of this milestone, I wanted to share some of the mindset shifts that have helped me boost my social media presence, and I hope they’d come in handy if you’re looking to add visibility via social media for your personal or professional lives.

Embrace The Cringe

Don’t put too much attention to what people may think of what you want to share as this might stop you from uploading content. If you scroll back down to your favourite creator’s page, you will find that the initial videos or posts are usually quite raw. Everyone goes through that cringe stage to some extent — it’s a rite of passage. Take it like a badge of honour! With time and practice, you’ll eventually find what works best for your platform and your voice.

Documenting vs Creating Content

I don’t think about my content as something I have to create, but more as a documentation. This takes a lot of pressure off the need to come up with something new all the time. Sometimes I share advice that I had just given to my team, or I upload key takeaways from my training sessions during tea break, or while walking to the washroom! In this way, it just becomes part of my day.

It’s Okay To Be On All The Platforms

When I started off on social media, I wondered if being on 3 platforms — LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram, would be just inundating the same audience with the same content. But what I found out was that a lot of people only use 1 platform!

If someone follows my content on LinkedIn, they may not know of my content on IG. And many of my TikTok followers don’t use IG at all. So it really helps to take a little more time to upload on all 3 platforms, and develop slightly different content for each one.

For example, you can upload a video on IG, and the bloopers or behind-the-scenes on TikTok. On LinkedIn, you can upload the edited text transcription of the video, and the extended version of the video on YouTube!

Dealing With Haters & Rejection

I get a ton of mean comments — I get messages from people telling me they don’t like my face or voice. And it’s really okay. Not everyone is for everyone. You don’t have to be bitter or angry about it — we are all different people. You’re not for them, and they’re not for you.

Do Something Visually Interesting!

While you’re making a video for social media, try to do something visually interesting. For example, you could do your make-up, fix a jigsaw puzzle, or clean your kitchen. What happens is that you’ll find your audience engaging a lot more. On top of asking you questions about the content you’re sharing, they will also ask you about the products they see in your video. The algorithm then detects there is a lot more comments than usual, and you get to double the opportunity to get interactions on your post. Another reason I upload content that has me walking from place to place, or while applying my make-up, is because I am always in a rush, and it just is the best use of time for me.

Add Value And Have Fun

Remember, always ask yourself how you can add value to the community you are uploading content for. Above all, enjoy the process. Social media is about connection, growth, and sharing your unique voice with the world. Celebrate every step of your journey, and keep having fun along the way! Thank you again for being a part of my journey and all of these milestones. I can't wait to welcome you to our new space and to continue creating magic together. Here's to many more life-changing moments ahead!

Much love
