Insider's Peek: What's Happening In The Club & Great Questions For Work Reviews
Other than tracking animals in South Africa and cheering on a kickass lioness who left her deadbeat husband behind, I have been engaged in all sorts of discussions with the members of the Deep Human Club. Also, we have just released training dates for our signature training programmes!

A newly promoted Deep Human Club member wanted some tips for the upcoming work review season. Here's what I shared.
Some Questions for Managers Doing Work Reviews For The First Time (And Why You Should Ask Them!)
What are you most proud of accomplishing the past half year?
How will you assess yourself on a scale of 1 -10, your current core tasks?
What are your strengths and developmental areas?
Do you have the resources, tools, and skills you need to perform in your job? What can I do to start/ stop/ continue doing to support you?
What are your goals for the next 6 months?
These questions help you start on a positive note, gauge your team’s self-awareness, and understand how you can support them better. They also provide a platform for giving feedback on developmental areas.
Remember to also check for blind spots you may have as a leader. Ask your reports for feedback for you with regards to your own developmental areas - this creates an environment where constructive feedback is welcomed and valued.
What We Did This Week
Other than small group mentoring sessions through the week, we conducted a Dynamic Circle on Thursday! This is a dynamic meditation and sharing session which includes movement, stillness, and group processing at our neighbour’s beautiful, immersive studio with the club members!

On Friday, we had an amazing networking session at Hana Japanese Restaurant!
Also, our club’s water bottle is here! You know your club is official when you have your own water bottle! Many thanks to Sparks Merch and Sarabe Chan for helping us with our club merch!
What We Are Talking About At the Club
From being mindful about being mindless, to how we can make habits sustainable, to celebrating each other’s wins and supporting each other during low moments — the community platform we use and the chat groups are easily my favourite things to check every single day. The group is really coming together and being so courageous in sharing their ups and downs, and being hyper-focused on learning and growing together.
When I was at the safari in Botswana, it was like time stood still. The animals could not care less about my KPIs, emails or what was happening in the news or on social media. Every safari drive was like an exercise in mindfulness — we were looking up, around, and focusing near and far to notice everything, for hours! But, like I told the club members, constant mindfulness in our reality isn't always going to happen. However, the choice to be present is ours to make. The second we realise we are distracted, we should know we have the opportunity to make a different choice.
May it be so for you as well.
